MOCK ASSESSMENT CENTRE

The Career Hub partnered with the apprenticeship
team from Rolls-Royce Motor Cars and The Angmering
School to pilot a mock assessment centre to introduce
students to the activities they can expect during
assessment centre recruitment.

OUTCOMES

• 98 Year 10 students from 6 schools attended.
• 24 Rolls-Royce Motor Cars apprentices supported on the day
• Participation counted towards Benchmarks 2, 3, 5, 6, 7
• Students experienced a carousel of four 45-minute sessions:
• An interactive workshop, led by Rolls-Royce Motor Cars apprenticeship team – how to research a company, how to present to an employer, how to analyse job descriptions, how to identify your strengths and skills, interview ‘Dos and Don’ts’.
• ‘Know Your Levels’ – an interactive session to explore all apprenticeship levels, the work/study split, entry requirements.
• Problem-solving and critical thinking activities, led by current Rolls-Royce Motor Cars apprentices.
• Small group chat with current Rolls-Royce Motor Cars apprentices to hear their stories, their routes into work and to discover what it’s like to be an apprentice day-to-day
